Choose this because of any one can understand directly what those buttons are mean.
In here use square shape icons with a single letter of each language because of matching with the shapes of other icons and save the space.
Use this shape of icons for more eye catching purpose and save the space.

Sign in is in the left corner. It is use because of the common standard.
Sign in is in the right corner. It is use because of good visibility.
Sign in is in the bottom. It is use because of its uncommon and introduce a new standard.

Use this “Dictionary” word for more understandability because this word is more common.
Use word “Kaptionary ” with combine Kaputa + Dictionary.

  • In prototype one the arrangements of the icons are more user friendly when comparing other prototypes. The features that has been improved, they are represent in more eye catching way and also try to manage the free spaces in a good manner. And also manage the interface in an understandable way to the users.

Interviewer  : “ What do you think about the design of this site, specially colours , icons ,page alignment? ”
v  The user was asked about the design of the site , about improper colours  and page alignment, confusion of the icons and buttons.

Interviewee : “ Page alignment is not very well. Can see lots of free spaces. Colours in the free spaces are dark than the text areas (news feed).So eye contact goes to the free spaces first Button labels are not in a same language. Icons are not clear and user friendly”

Interviewer : “ What do you think about the language translation? ”
v  The user search for the language translation buttons. After selecting a language translation is not happen properly. User selected the Tamil language.  

Interviewee : “ Language translation buttons don’t work really well. Only 3 of these button labels are translated in to the Tamil language and all other button labels are in English.”

v  The user confuse with seeking the sign up button. Have to sign up as a new user with providing username, password and email. 

Interviewee : “ Where is the sign up button here?” Seek the sign up button here and there.

v  The order of the fields that used are not user friendly. 
                            
Interviewee : “ There are large text areas to enter user details. Editing profile picture is in the latter part in the site. It’s really better if put it in the top of the site. It will be a good advantage to the user. “

v  Choose a picture and upload it as the profile picture. That feature has to be professional.
                                                                        
Interviewee : “ The same picture is showing in four places. This is not in a very professional manner. So this should be implement well as soon as possible “

v  Change the password that providing the old password.
                                                                        
Interviewee : “ When going to change the password, they are not asking the old password. This is the major risk in this site. No idea about label naming also. Not showing any message whether the password is changed or not. Have to implement this as soon as possible. “Confuse about the interface and the security.

v  User gets somewhat confuse when finding the way of sharing a photo. Then looking for the privacy settings. 
                                                                        
Interviewee : “ I’m looking for the privacy settings. I think they have not implement it like other social networks. So don’t where the photo going to be shared“

Interviewer : “What do you think about the ‘Astro’ field?”
v  User can check his astrological needs here. Fields that has provided are good. 
                                                                        
Interviewee : “ They have done the job in good manner. Users can check their astrological things according to their needs. “

v  User has to change the language and see what happen to the interface. Language translation is not applying properly. 
                                                                        
Interviewee : “ When select the English language no of buttons that stands for astrological fields are reduce to three. There were four previously. Terms for some icons also not in the English language. They use normal Sinhala words in English letters instead of English terms. That’s a major mistake. What happen if a person know only English?”

Interviewee : “Not satisfy with the name of ‘Kaptionary’ but satisfy with the results. They are pretty accurate. So its fine“

Interviewer : “What impression do you get when use the search field? What do you think about the results you have got? ”
v  User have search some word and see the results. Not satisfy with the way that results are representing and also the language facilities of it. 
                                                                        
Interviewee : “They have define three languages here. But can use only English language for searching. WE can see the results are jumbled up. It’s better if they have categorize these things in to some fields.

v  The user was asked about music field. About the results they have to add things related to music. 
                                                                        
Interviewee : “Ah! There are nothing about music here. There are things unrelated to music.“

v  The user was asked about the education field. How it should be categorize in to some fields.
                                                                        
Interviewee : “They have just posted things. It’s really better if they categorize these things. Can see another tab called ICT I think this Also they can  put it under to the education field because nowadays these things are going together”

Interviewer : “Can you chat with someone?”
v  The user was asked about the chatting feature for the improvement of this social network. The existence of a social network is depend on how can we communicate with each other.
                        
Interviewee : “There are no one to chat here because I thing I’ am new to this site. So I don’t know how to add any friends or how to view any online friends and here no any options whether I can chat individually or in group wise. So it’s really better if they implement some chat settings because users can chat in the offline mode also. When we are comparing with the social networks quality of the network behind with how we communicate with the other people. So the chat feature is really important.”

Interviewer : “Can you go to the profile? What do you think about it and what you can do with your profile?”
v  The user was asked about the fields in his profile. There are no any instructions about how to use some fields in the profile. Some are not working.
                                                                        
Interviewee : “Can see a map there but  didn’t select any location in my profile it has the tab call ‘Biz’ that use for the business things. There is a tab call ‘File’ to upload some files but no idea what is it exactly stands for. Even they have not describe it in an understanding manner. The ‘Message’ tab is not working. These things should implement soon because this is a social network. ”

Interviewer : “Can you give me an overall idea about this site as a social network ?”
v  Brief idea about what should be improve in the site. About privacy. What is the level of Kaputa.lk that comparing with other social networks.
                                                                        
Interviewee : “ As a social network not satisfy about this site because large area to be developed. The main thing about the privacy. As an example the password changing is a really risky because of not asking the current password. And we can’t see the proper order in this site. They have jumbled up all the posts. Also the chatting field should be implement in a proper manner. And other problem is the language problem. The translation buttons are not work really well. Previously when use the English language some tabs are disappears. It’s a really bad thing. In the main interface there is an ‘Untitled’ button. Don’t know what is the usage of it. And also the ‘Music’ should implement relevant to the music. Education field and the ICT field can be merge and at would be really nice. ”
